With 15 years of design experience, Mel has developed a deep passion for product and graphic design, with a particular talent for decorative paint design. Her keen understanding of balance, composition, color harmony, and motif development allows her to add thoughtful, distinctive details that bring each project to life.

As a Project Lead at Sagrada Design Studio, Mel brings both technical expertise and a practical, solutions-oriented approach to every project. Her experience coordinating with architects, general contractors, vendors, and manufacturers has given her a strong understanding of construction documents, fabrication, finishes, fabrics, and the project as a whole. She is especially skilled at recognizing patterns and anticipating challenges, helping projects move forward more smoothly and successfully.

Mel is also known for being genuinely fun to work with. Her humor, energy, and ability to build strong relationships make her a valued teammate and collaborator. She believes that great design is built not only through creativity and technical skill, but through trust, communication, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together.

On warm, sunny days with a cool breeze, Mel can be found outdoors with her family exploring the mountains, visiting a new place, floating on a river or lake, going on long walks, or tending to her yard. Once the temperature drops, she will be indoors cozied up to a challenging puzzle, crafting or playing a fun game and getting in some good belly laughs with her husband and 4 kids.
