BYU Heritage Housing

While working at a previous firm, Mia Holden contributed to the design of a new student housing complex at BYU, a multi-phase project replacing older housing with modern, durable facilities. The buildings provide comfortable living spaces for students, as well as flexible common areas designed for study groups and evening activities, featuring multipurpose furniture to support a variety of uses.

The interior design carefully balanced functionality and durability. Corridor colors were selected to aid wayfinding, while apartment unit carpets were chosen in neutral, easy-to-maintain tones. Furniture was specified using some of the most durable materials available, ensuring longevity and ease of care.

Completed in multiple phases, the housing complex is a successful and attractive addition to the BYU campus, featuring a timeless brick exterior and thoughtfully designed interiors that support student life and community.
